SensFish is an innovative, AI-powered platform that provides real-time, historical, and predictive analytics on ocean ecosystems. Through an intuitive smart dashboard, it supports ESG compliance, sustainability reporting, and risk assessment for ocean-related industries. By integrating satellite, environmental, and in-situ data, SensFish offers high-accuracy insights driven by proprietary algorithms, enabling businesses, investors, and insurers to make informed decisions and improve operational efficiency.
Operating under a B2B, SaaS-based model with a tiered subscription approach, SensFish focuses on marine conservation, biodiversity, and sustainable fisheries. The platform is designed for scalability and has potential applications in emerging fields like sustainable ocean renewable energy, blue carbon, and sustainable shipping, where we have already begun engaging with key market players.
SensFish was founded in 2023 and is currently developing its core technology.
SensFish is an EDI-driven organization, embedding equity, diversity, and inclusion at the core of its operations and impact strategy. We prioritise inclusive data practices and foster collaboration across diverse geographies, communities, and disciplines to ensure equitable access to marine resources and decision-making. For example, we actively recruit female leads and have partnerships with underrepresented coastal communities.
Our latest project focuses on how satellite data (ocean temperature and color) aids in monitoring, managing, and mitigating ocean climate change impacts, contributing to sustainable ocean finance and socio-economic development.
We are happy to offer PhD students support in the form of placements (6-month PhD placements or mentorship). While we have not co-supervised a PhD student before, we are excited to engage in mentorship and guidance for suitable candidates working on interdisciplinary projects.
We are particularly interested in collaborating with CDTs on projects in mathematical and algorithmic modeling, geospatial planning, remote sensing, oceanography, and ocean ecology as they relate to ESG, subsea sensors, and broader environmental sciences.
We welcome students with expertise in computing sciences and other relevant disciplines and are committed to fostering a supportive environment for interdisciplinary research.
Our focus is on promoting both scientific innovation and practical, real-world impact in the ocean economy.
