Why do you want to join the DiveIn community?
I'm fiercely interdisciplinary working with neuroscientists, biologists, psychologists and robotics people so I feel pretty much at home in this CDT.
Personal profile:

My passion is in anything “neuro” be it really about the brain or simulated in AI and applying it to real world problems. My group works on realtime planning at the moment for autonomous (real robots) directly inspired by psychology with one PhD student being a psychologist turned coder and the other philosopher turned coder. We also work on using biosignals (EEG and ECG) to use these to detect illnesses in “the wild” for example at home and to use these signals for biofeedback. In term of projects I’d love to build an adaptive directional hearing aid which uses my realtime AI to solve the cocktail party problem for people wearing hearing aids. I’d like to develop my realtime planning further so that it can be used in actual domestic helpers in particular for the elderly and/or disabled. I’m also passionate about this as the underlying algorithms are trustworthy.

In terms of EDI: I’ve supervised a lot of different students from different backgrounds. My previous PhD student was for example an asylum seeker and I’ve been very proud to have managed to lead her to a PhD.
