Organisation profile

HORIBA UK is part of the global HORIBA Group, a leading provider of measurement, analytical and characterisation technologies that enable discovery, innovation and informed decision making. For more than 70 years, we have been supporting scientists, engineers and organisations across academia, industry and government with advanced instruments, scientific expertise and application knowledge.

Our technologies span spectroscopy, elemental analysis, particle characterisation, microscopy, environmental and process monitoring, air and water quality measurement, gas analysis, battery and fuel cell testing, semiconductor solutions, and clinical diagnostics. Through these capabilities, we help customers better understand materials, processes and biological systems, supporting progress in areas such as healthcare, sustainability, clean energy, advanced manufacturing and environmental protection.

In the UK, we work closely with universities, research institutes, healthcare organisations and industrial partners, supporting projects that range from fundamental scientific research to real world applications. Beyond providing technology, we bring technical expertise, collaborative partnerships and a commitment to helping solve complex challenges through accurate measurement and analysis.

At HORIBA, we believe that breakthrough innovation happens when people with different perspectives, experiences and expertise come together. Collaboration, curiosity and creativity are at the heart of our culture, and we are committed to helping create a scientific ecosystem where diverse talent can thrive and contribute to meaningful progress. Supporting the next generation of researchers and innovators is an important part of our mission. Through partnerships with universities, research programmes and initiatives such as the HORIBA Foundation UK, we work to broaden participation in STEM, nurture emerging talent and help ensure that future scientific advances benefit society as a whole. Guided by our corporate philosophy of Joy and Fun, we strive to create positive impact through both what we do and how we do it. We believe that science is at its best when it inspires curiosity, empowers people and brings communities together to address the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow
